NetEase Games Brings Five Playable Titles and Major Fan Activities to Gamescom 2026

NetEase Games has revealed its plans for Gamescom 2026, with five playable titles forming the centre of its presence in Cologne. Marvel Rivals, Where Winds Meet and Sea of Remnants will receive dedicated areas packed with demos, cosplay and activities for visitors.

Once Human will also appear with another upcoming title in the company’s separate Business Area. The lineup gives gaming fans plenty to explore when Gamescom runs from August 26 to 30 at Koelnmesse.

Sea of Remnants

Sea of Remnants will be playable in Hall 7.1, Booth A-051, giving attendees a closer look at one of NetEase’s top upcoming video game releases. The pirate adventure lets players explore the city of Orbtopia and an archipelago filled with islands, characters and discoveries.

Its gameplay combines strategic turn-based combat with a long-form roguelike progression system. With the title still in development, its Gamescom appearance also provides another glimpse at how game development is progressing before release.

NetEase is expanding the experience beyond the demo. Visitors can customise a puppet, create personalised beach postcards and complete missions for over 10 types of exclusive merchandise, alongside appearances from around 10 cosplayers and a giant hamster mascot.

Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals takes over part of Hall 7.1, Booth B-050, with Season 9.5 available to play. The recently released season adds The Hood to the roster, giving attendees a chance to experience one of its latest game releases on the show floor. An Egyptian-inspired installation will include a large Jeff the Land Shark statue and a photo booth producing themed instant pictures.

Several Marvel Rivals character cosplayers will also meet visitors, while giveaways include badges and Gamescom-exclusive keychains. More is planned for August 28. NetEase says mysterious special guests will arrive for an exclusive stage performance and fan interaction, although their identities have not been revealed.

Where Winds Meet

Where Winds Meet shares Booth B-050 and brings a demo focused on the main chapter finale of the Hidden Mountain expansion. Players can explore a new mountain peak region and test the Drunken Master martial arts style, adding fresh content to one of NetEase’s latest game releases.

The demo also features a boss connected to the character’s past whose appearance marks a major point in the storyline. Visitors interested in current gaming trends can additionally explore a recreation of the Ghostlight Market and complete activities for exclusive rewards.

Seven cosplayers will represent characters from the wuxia adventure. A robot cosplayer will provide something different by combining technology with martial arts in what NetEase describes as a wuxia-punk performance.

More games coming

NetEase’s Business Area at Hall 4.2, Booth D-050 will feature two additional playable games and media interview opportunities. Once Human is among them, with NetEase preparing to reveal details about what it calls the game’s biggest expansion since launch. The final attraction offers visitors an early hands-on look at another major upcoming title, whose identity has not yet been disclosed in the Gamescom announcement.

That mystery could give visitors another top upcoming video game release to watch as the event approaches. With demos, expansion reveals, performances and exclusive rewards spread across two halls, NetEase is making its Gamescom presence about more than its latest game releases.
