First look at the Kobe 6 Protro ‘Black History Month’
Following the Nike Kobe 8 Proto ‘Halo’ edition, another set of highly-anticipated Kobe basketball shoes will be gracing the stores very soon. The first look of the sneakers was revealed by a shoe reseller on Instagram, @xcsnkr. For starters, the Black History Month (BHM) edition of Kobes is widely popular amongst Kobe fans. It’s been a long time since we last saw Kobe Bryant’s signature shoe line with Nike feature the BHM. It’s worth noting that there were also BHM iterations for the Nike Kobe 6, 7, and 8 in the past, specifically between 2011 and 2013. With the latest leak, everyone just can’t wait to get their hands on these tantalizing kicks.
What’s new?
The Nike Kobe 6 ‘Black History Month‘ edition reportedly boasts a white and metallic gold colorway, with a golden Mamba logo, golden BHM logo, and a golden “Be Legendary” quote inside the tongue. Moreover, the Swoosh, which is of golden color, completes the whole design.
However, these fresh pair of kicks aren’t technically very new to the eyes of sneakerheads. Back in 2021, we witnessed Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker wear the Kobe 6 ‘BHM’ edition during a game. At the time, it was not yet made for the general public. A couple of years later, Nike decided to manufacture the beloved iteration of the popular Nike Kobe 6 which will be available to everybody very soon.

Nike Kobe 6 Proto ‘BHM’ Release Date, Price, and Where to Buy
Black History Month for 2023 takes place during the whole month of October. Given that we’re already a week into the month-long celebration, it’s safe to assume that the Nike Kobe 6 ‘Black History Month’ edition will be released on next year’s BHM holiday, from February 1, 2024, to March 1, 2024. Moreover, according to various sources, the price for the new Kobe 6 is expected to be around $190-$200. But wait, there’s more! Nike is also releasing the Nike Kobe 6 Protro ‘Reverse Grinch’ this Christmas!
Before the Nike Kobe 6 ‘BHM’ comes to town, sneaker fans are in for a treat this Christmas. Coming these holidays is the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Reverse Grinch”, which is basically the complete opposite of the Nike Kobe 6 “Grinch”, which was released in 2020. The Reverse Grinch iteration takes on a Bright Crimson hue compared to the Grinch’s Green Apple colorway. According to reports, the Kobe 6 Reverse Grinch will be released on December 16, 2023, and will be retailed at $180.
