Alton Tower’s social media just dropped a grenade of pure excitement – a video teasing the triumphant return of Nemesis (Reborn)! Not only is our favorite coaster reborn for 2024, but Beast itself is back with a ferocious bite!

But in November 2022, a hush fell over the Forbidden Valley as Nemesis closed its doors, leaving loyal thrill-seekers in a state of suspense. The reason? Not a malfunction, nor a closure, but a transformation.

Nemesis’ closure wasn’t a farewell, but a necessary pit stop for a complete track replacement. As the ride aged, smoother operation and enhanced safety upgrades became crucial.
2023 witnessed an intricate ballet of steel and determination as engineers embarked on a monumental task: replacing 90% of the track and 89 of the 117 support columns.
Coming Soon!
Just recently, Alton Towers just dropped a video that sent chills down even the bravest spines. It’s not just any video, mind you, it’s a glimpse into the imminent return of Nemesis, the park’s legendary inverted rollercoaster.
From the opening notes of a remastered version of Nemesis’ iconic soundtrack, goosebumps erupted everywhere. We saw the monster awaken, its steel form slithering through the Forbidden Valley, more intimidating than ever. But that’s not all!
What’s new?
- Get ready for a blast from the past: the original 1994 Nemesis logo is back, sporting a sleek “Reborn” makeover.
- The iron “S” transforming into the creature’s eye? Genius! And the animation? Breathtaking.
- The Loop, the trains zooming past, the beast coming alive – it’s clear Alton Towers poured their heart and soul into crafting this narrative.

But enough about nostalgia, let’s talk thrills. You get glimpses of the updated station, bristling with spikes and a massive animated eye – the monster’s watchful gaze. And that soundtrack? Still dramatic, still iconic, and still guaranteed to set your pulse racing before you even hit the first drop.
This wasn’t just a video, it was a declaration: Nemesis is back with a vengeance. They even confirmed the official name and logo, leaving no room for doubt. And to top it all off, expect testing to begin “imminently,” meaning we could be hearing the roar of Nemesis Reborn sooner than we think.
For the love of theme parks
For some, this isn’t just a new ride, it’s a homecoming. Nemesis was the spark that ignited a love for theme parks, the catalyst for friendships and memories that last a lifetime. Seeing it rise again, stronger and fiercer than ever, is truly emotional.
