Ubisoft is revealing its upcoming Assassin’s Creed game in an extremely creative way. BossLogic, an artist, is creating a live artwork of the next game in Photoshop. Ubisoft is streaming it all over the internet – Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, and more.

BossLogic is popular amongst video game, movies, and comic fans for his amazing artworks. He is creating the artwork of the next Assassin’s Creed game live on Ubisoft’s channels and accounts. The stream hasn’t revealed the setting of the game yet, and we’d only know more about it once the artwork’s complete.

Jason Schreier on Twitter, however, confirmed that the upcoming Assassin’s Creed game is, indeed, Vikings. Yes, the widely speculated setting is indeed true. Jason wrote –

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was so damn good — stoked to finally see Vikings (although this may just be a dripfeed teaser with a proper gameplay reveal next week)

While we’re still waiting for BossLogic to finish his splendid artwork to confirm it officially, it’s safe to assume the game will be called Vikings.

Here’s something interesting we noticed during the live stream. There’s a fight going on between people, team #YESRPG vs team #NORPG. If you’ve played earlier Assassin’s Creed games, before Origins, you must be familiar with Assassin’s Creed’s original style. It wasn’t an RPG at all. It was a game of its own. With its own mechanisms and features. Since Origins, however, Ubisoft has been chasing for an RPG approach.

Many people are against the RPG approach as it takes away the originality from Assassin’s Creed. There were even Twitter fights with the hashtag, #NotMyAssassinsCreed when Origins and Odyssey were released. And yes, personally, I’m not a big fan of the RPG approach as well.

While on the other hand, there are people who liked the RPG approach and wants more in the upcoming games. Hence, the fight. Now it totally depends on your tastes and preferences whether you’d like to see an RPG-like Assassin’s Creed game. But for me, it’s totally not for me.

Vikings, is it confirmed?

At the time of writing this article, BossLogic is still working on the artwork. Once he’s finished and it’s official, we’ll update this article with more information as we are fed by Ubisoft.
