Boycott Genshin Impact Explained
Genshin Impact has been one of the most widely known free video games in the industry. This is evidenced by the large sums of money that miHoYo has amassed thanks to its gacha mechanics. Interestingly, it appears that a segment of the title community has had enough. To the moment of attempting to cripple the launch’s notoriety via social media in the last few hours.
Flora
One of the very first factors would be to oversexualize Flora, one of the game’s younger characters. This appears to be especially clear with some lines of conversation that are relevant to the character.
A racist game?
The next issue actually encompasses two respective claims, both of which are racist. To begin, it is stated that there are few antagonists who do not have a white skin tone.
Simultaneously, some people are concerned that a portion of the game’s content aims to portray indigenous people as villains.
Security Concerns
Gamers have stated that the protection surrounding the Genshin Impact system is lacking, and have demanded that two-factor verification be enforced. The comments essentially refer to the rate at which they release new content. This has been a hot topic since Genshin Impact rose to fame.
At this time, we don’t know whether all of these accusations will have an actual influence on the game or if miHoYo will simply disregard them. Logic dictates that there will be players who try to protect the developer against all of these allegations, so we’re stuck in a situation that may not be over yet.
