Destiny 2 is one of several titles that can convincingly argue for the demand for cross-play. Followers have been begging for it since the game’s release, and Bungie has alas listened!
Although the function will be evaluated in the beta phase at first, if everything ends up good, it will go live permanently once all the flaws are ironed out. Let’s go over all you should know regarding the imminent crossplay event.
Beta Phase
The beta will take place from the 25th till the 27th of May, and it will be open to every Destiny 2 gamers, regardless of if they play on PS4, Xbox One, Steam, or Stadia. Simply put, we’re talking about cross-play!
How To Play
For the period of the beta, cross-play will be restricted to a single Vanguard Strike Crossplay Playlist. PVE seems to be the only option while Bungie keeps an eye on the task and ensures their systems can manage the traffic. In the Destiny 2 Crossplay beta, gamers who finish 3 Vanguard Strikes will receive a special “Stars Crossed” insignia as a token of their active involvement and Bungie’s gratitude.
When testing the Vanguard Strike Cross-play Playlist, users wouldn’t be able to add friends or create a Fireteam. This is attributed to Bungie’s desire to put their matchmaking methods through their paces throughout the occasion, which will undoubtedly be pushed to the limit.
