Former Super Smash Bros. Pro Player Files Lawsuit Against Roommate

In the past few months, the gaming industry is encountering sexual harassment cases.  From the Ubisoft scandals that started last year and Activision-Blizzard’s toxic workplace culture. The recent incident of sexual discrimination at Sony trembled the whole world. Now the Super Smash Bros. flies lawsuit against Jacqueline ‘Jisu’ Choe.

History of the case

• ZeRo and Jisu were formerly roommates at the Sky House. Jisu alleged that Barrios solicited sexually explicit videos from an anonymous 14-year-old girl and offered to fly another underage girl to events to perform sexual acts.
• She also alleged that Barrios and his now-wife Vanessa began dating when he was 20 and she was 15 and that he later allegedly physically abused her. Moreover, she claimed he used to show her sexually explicit Craiglist ads and Hentai.
• ZeRo confessed to the charges last July and arbitrarily banned himself from participating in Super Smash Bros. tournaments. These allegations lead to the termination of his contracts with Facebook Gaming and Tempo Storm, as well as the deletion of his inactive Twitch channel, which had more than 520,000 followers.

ZeRo’s Countersuit

Now, “ZeRo” Barrios filed a lawsuit against his former roommate Jacqueline “Jisu” Choe, accusing her of defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress regarding allegations she made.

Choe responded to a lawsuit today on Twitter and asked his followers to donate to a GoFundMe campaign that is going to be used in the lawsuits for expenses.

Barrios now claim that all allegations are false. He also said that he confessed during a depression phase. He was unable to prove his innocence due to stress and depression. Now he is ready to prove his innocence. Moreover, he has also started creating YouTube content as a full-time content creator.
