Fortnite has been a huge hit, with Chapter 3 attracting both new and veteran gamers. Epic Games launched an account merging option in November 2018 as a result of the game’s success across several platforms. Cosmetic items, V-Bucks, Save the World campaign access, and other stuff can now be transferrable between Fortnite accounts on different devices.
A mid-season upgrade will be accessible, and the devs may have a surprise in store for the gamers. Many ideas suggest that we’re on the Chapter 1 map and that the island has been turned before.
Account Merging
Epic stopped allowing users to merge their accounts on May 6, 2019. Many players were not happy with the decision, and many hope that the developers would reconsider at some point. This begs the question of whether or not account merging will return to Fortnite in the future.

Many players were surprised when Epic removed the account merging option, which allowed PC, console, and mobile gamers to effortlessly and swiftly transfer all of their data. While the account merging option is helpful, Fortnite also has a full cross-platform feature that properly replaces the account merging feature.
The Account Merge feature will be coming to an end on May 6, 2019. Be sure to submit a merge request prior to that date for any eligible accounts.

Players will have to choose a primary account and risk having their content be on a downgrade to a secondary account. Since the developers haven’t said much about the account merging option since it was not available, it’s difficult to determine if it will be back. Many new elements, such as weather and sliding dynamics, were now in Chapter 3. Players would like to see some of the old ones return.
Some gamers on Reddit contacted Epic Games concerning the reintroduction of account merging. And the developers urged them to check the forums every now and again. This implies that there is a chance the feature will return.
