Genshin Impact Nintendo Switch Release Date
The Nintendo Switch version of Genshin Impact was already confirmed last January 2020. So let’s take a look at all we know about Switch’s official release.
The Switch edition of Genshin is expected to be ahead of the PS5. The game was launched in September 2020, well ahead of the PS5 rollout. In fact, the Switch version was publicly disclosed before the PS5 edition, so it makes sense that the Switch edition would be sooner. Although the PS5 was just released, it appears that miHoYo hasn’t made the Switch a priority.
Nintendo Switch Release Date
Although Genshin Impact for the PlayStation 5 was launched in late April, the Nintendo Switch official unveiling has still not been verified since the teaser in January 2020.
Perhaps miHoYo has purposefully rushed the PS5 edition of Genshin Impact to attract PS fans. Even though the PS4 version of the game operates on the PS5, some enthusiasts may opt to start over.
MiHoYo could have had a quicker time shifting between PlayStations than adjusting Genshin Impact for Switch. Perhaps there were some challenges in maximizing Nintendo’s modal console game that wasn’t prevalent in PS4. If Genshin Impact operates on both the PS4 and mobile devices, it’ll be hard to believe if the Switch is a significant barrier to overcome.
The release of Genshin Impact on PS5 has a ray of hope. Now that the PS5 version of the game is playable, miHoYo will likely return to concentrating on the Switch version. If anything, Genshin Impact isn’t coming to Xbox, so the Switch version will be miHoYo’s last major campaign. Although the Switch edition takes a while to arrive, fans will have more than enough to do once it does.
