In an array of latest developments in India, the headline still remains the Asia debut of the American-turned-Global music festival Lollapalooza which is all set for the country in 2023. This will also mark Lollapalooza inaugural edition to Asia, the first of its kind. Mumbai is going to host this 20-hour and more multi-diverse music fest in its Mahalaxmi Race Course from January 28th to 29th. It will also bring Imagine Dragons in India for the first time.
BookMyShow has announced over 60,000 capacity for the event which shall feature 40 artists spanning over four stages. Indian fans have given conflicting views ever since BookMyShow announced the Asian edition of Lollapalooza.

The Indian citizen may have expected a heavier load from a fest claiming global status and respect. Rumors about Pearl Jam, Janes Addiction, Red Hot Chilly Papers, and even the Korean sensation BTS were up in the air. In what felt hugely disappointing to one chunk of the populace, came the lineup which was revealed a day ago.
A bustling Indian crowd to receive Imagine Dragons and The StrokesÂ
But it’s easier to hear the creaks given that the negative tends to push over the positive. Many Imagine Dragon fans may have felt their hearts chiseled with gold.

Lollapalooza started as a touring event in 1991. Grant Park in Chicago hosts the American music fest for an annual run of four days. Lollapalooza is the global music scene’s finest and most iconic. It is also one of the longest-running in the entire United States. An estimated average of 400,000 people attend the event annually and have a solid record of selling out completely.
A multi-diverse genre of music and artists lineup bezel the music fest with its glitter. Performing genres include but aren’t limited to heavy metal, punk rock, hip hop, electronic music, and alternative rock.
