God of War: Ragnarok’s creators had already predicted that this will be the final chapter of Kratos and Atreus’ Norse mythology story. This is due to the fact that the production process had been extended. Additionally, telling a trilogy, as most of us anticipated, may take too many years.
What we don’t know is what will take place in the God of War saga. Santa Monica Studios might decide to end this narrative arc. Moreover, the director of the direct sequel to God of War gave hints in an interview with IGN.
In an interview that was presented over a month ago, Eric Williams, director of God of War: Ragnarok, discussed the final chapter of the latest Kratos game. Aficionados of the saga, on the other hand, have discovered that there are tidbits in it that point to a conclusion at the pinnacle of what is assumed of this new Ghost of Sparta journey.
“From my point of view, we want to tell a very heartfelt and epic story about a father and son on a journey. They kind of struggle with holding on to stuff and letting go of things. It is a very difficult human condition that we all deal with… In the end, we just want to have an ending that feels very surprising, yet inevitable.”
– Eric Williams, Director of God of War: Ragnarok
We can deduce from these statements that God of War: Ragnarok will be full of the emotion we’ve grown accustomed to from the conclusion of Kratos’ Nordic saga. This has also been hinted at in specific character information. We’ll have to wait until 2022 to see that anticipated conclusion when the PS5 and PS4 versions will be launched.
