God of War Ragnarok Release Date: 2022 Officially Listed

God of War fans, it’s time for us to cheer and celebrate. Sony’s official listing page of God of War Ragnarok mentions its release date as 2022. Is it true? Will the game be further postponed? Do we have any other confirmations?

Well, if you visit the official God of War Ragnarok page on PlayStation’s website, you’ll see the game’s release date set to 2022. We don’t know the month nor the exact date yet, but maybe late 2022. Here’s a screenshot of the same –

Another tweet from Blue Owlz: Medic who claims to be a part of Sony Santa Monica’s Community and Social team (Spiel Times couldn’t independently verify the claim) tweeted, “God of War Ragnarök comes out this year.”

I have, however, my doubts about the release window. One, Santa Monica would never allow one of its current employees to announce something so crucial randomly on Twitter. Two, the release date on the PlayStation page could be a placeholder.

Square Enix and Sony recently delayed Forspoken from a May release to October 11, 2022. God of War Ragnarok, on the other hand, was delayed from 2021 to 2022. We haven’t seen many updates for the game and everything seems quiet for now.

In February, veteran Games Journalist, Jason Schreier responded to this question –

“Anyone thinks that GOW Ragnarok might be delayed to 2023?”

His reply was a simple, “Nope”.
