Google Maps Beta Crash (11.132.0100): Android Auto Fix Guide

BY JC Paredes 2 years AGO 2 MIN READ

Many are currently experiencing a Google Maps beta crash on their Android Auto devices since June 3, 2024.

What’s causing the issue?

The latest version of Google Maps beta (11.132.0100) is not compatible with Android Auto, which causes the application to crash once you open it in your vehicle’s infotainment. While other applications in Android Auto are working normally, the integration of Google Maps is currently experiencing some issues.

Possible Fix

  1. The most straightforward option is to opt out of the Google Maps beta program. Go to your Play Store and click “Manage Apps & Devices.” Next, click “Beta” and select “Leave” beside Google Maps.
  2. Uninstall Google Maps – Go to your Google Maps “App Info” and then Overflow Menu and select “Uninstall Updates.”
  3. Try updating or reinstalling Google Maps from the Play Store for a more stable application version.
  4. If all else fails, consider using Waze in the meantime. This application also works for Android Auto.
  5. Users familiar with APK files can also try downgrading to an earlier version of Google Maps. Just be careful.

If all else fails, report the issue to Google using their “Help & Feedback” option on the Google Maps application. We’ll update this page if Google releases new information or a workaround for this issue.
