Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow’s Chapter 11 finally answers and confirms whatever speculations we have of the game’s story. If you’ve collected 13 achievements so far, Chapter 11’s secret location has the 14th firefly that opens an alternate ending to the story. So let’s get to it!
Spoiler Warning: Please note that this article contains potential spoilers for those who have not completed the game. Proceed with caution if you wish to preserve the surprise and enjoyment of experiencing the game firsthand.
Yellow Crane
- After finishing the smelting factory puzzle, you’ll find yourself on top of a building. Jump down to the west. You’ll see a yellow crane with a pull switch next to the lightbulb.
- Grab the controller and quickly grab onto the hook. Once you’re up the equipment, grab the level so the hook is on top of the wooden planks covering your next entryway.
- Jump back down and pull the switch again so the hook will destroy the planks. Keep heading west once you reach your next area. You’ll then see a giant painting on the wall.
- Move towards it and enter. On your left side, you’ll see a red handle. Pull it off so you’re able to jump across. Make sure you move as fast as you can!
Follow her
- The archer will be blocking the door. Just keep jumping on it to push her off. In the next area, grab onto the metal pipe to safely cross the room. Once you’re there, climb up the cabinet, your hint will be the purple flower pot. Jump across to use the air vent as a route.
- After a cutscene, you’ll find yourself back in your room. However, everything seems chaotic and out of place. Head inside the yellow tent.
- Push the cabinet to the east and use it to reach the vent. Keep moving forward until you get to the area with the glowing flowers. Make sure to run across all of them.
- You’ll notice that the big flower will slowly bloom as you run through the glowing flowers. It’ll help grow its roots which you will grab onto to cross.
Shadow Puzzle
- Keep heading north until you finish a self-explanatory scene. You’ll find Birly still trying to help you even when he’s not physically there. You’ll then find yourself in a familiar puzzle. However, Birly can’t help you pull one of the switches.
- Push off the pedestal, conveniently marked with yellow paint. This will shed some light, and Birly can now safely help you. Command him to pull the switch while you do the other one.
Lighthouse Achievement
- Once you can cross the area with the metal hooks, head to the west and grab onto the hook. This will take you to a secret location and a mini puzzle. Once you finish this, you will get the last firefly and achievement of the game. Congrats!
Alternate Ending
After finishing this game, go back to Chapter 1 until you reach the second bedroom. You’ll be able to access a secret door that shows the alternate ending of the story.
