Genshin Impact: The Chasm, How to Unlock
The newest area in Genshin Impact is something players have been looking forward to since the game released back in 2020. The Chasm is an area located near Liyue. In the 2.6 update of Genshin Impact, travelers can finally explore the mysterious region.
How can I unlock The Chasm in Genshin Impact?
Like with other regions, travelers need to meet the requirements before they can fully explore The Chasm. Make sure you meet the following requirements before making your way over to the new area:
- Reach Adventure Rank 28
- Complete Archon Quest Chapter I: Act III — “A New Star Approaches”
If you’re unsure whether you’ve already completed “A New Star Approaches”, it’s the final chapter in the Liyue storyline. In the quest, we see Ningguang sacrifice the Jade Chamber the first time around as you defend Liyue from Osial.
If you meet the prerequisites for The Chasm, head on over to the entrance where you’ll be greeted by two Millelith guarding the area. Tie Hong will immediately recognize you and direct you over to Muning, the one overseeing The Chasm.
After you head through the entrance, a cutscene will appear and it will show you an overview of the scenery in The Chasm. You’ll see a blue exclamation mark on your map so go there to speak with Muning.
Muning will ask if you have a permit to explore The Chasm. After he concludes that you don’t have a permit, he directs you to another NPC named Zhiqiong. Speaking with Zhiqiong will unlock the Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering.
To gain access to the underground part of The Chasm, you need to complete this quest.
Make sure to activate the teleport waypoints and the Statue of the Steven in The Chasm
Activating the Statue of the Seven will illuminate the region and show you where the teleport waypoints are. If you activate all of these, you get EXP points and Primogems as well.
