Pokemon Go: How To Catch Shadow Ho-Oh

BY JC Paredes 5 years AGO 2 MIN READ

In Pokémon Go, Shadow Ho-Oh will be entering the Pokedex shortly. This article will tell trainers where to look for it and how to catch it. Pokémon Go is kicking off the summer season with a slew of upcoming events in June. Get to know everything about Shadow Ho-Oh in this article!

How To Catch Shadow Ho-Oh

  • From June 17 to September 1, Giovanni will be carrying a Shadow Ho-Oh in Pokémon Go.
  • Trainers can utilize an existing Super Rocket Radar to locate Giovanni, or you may finish the Special Research mission to acquire a new Radar.
  • You will have the opportunity to catch Shadow Ho-Oh after beating him in a showdown.
  • To improve your chances of landing Ho-Oh, use a Golden or normal Razz Berry before tossing a ball.

  • Wait for Shadow Ho-attack Oh’s animation to complete before attacking. Giovanni’s Shadow Ho-Oh may or may not have a Shiny evolution in Pokémon Go.
  • The game already has a Shiny Ho-Oh, but battling Giovanni for his Shadow Ho-Oh will give trainers one more opportunity to get it.

Should you purify Shadow Ho-Oh?

  • It all boils down to whether you can alleviate Frustration in certain shadow Pokémon. Niantic has improved in terms of providing more events where trainers can alleviate the Frustration of a shadow Pokémon.
  • The same can be said for Shadow Ho-Oh. Acquiring its shadow variant, however, is far more challenging due to the fact that it is a legendary Pokémon.
  • Leave it the way it is once you get an opportunity to catch shadow Ho-Oh. We’re not sure when you’ll have another chance to get it.
  • Purifying shadow Ho-Oh is pointless because the standard version of Ho-Oh appears frequently enough.

Since March 2021, I've worn two hats at Spiel Times: a writer and a Managing Editor. In my writing role, I've earned recognition from Wikipedia and Nev Schulman (Catfish TV Show host) for my insightful analysis and engaging narrative style. I'm passionate about all things gaming, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for uncovering hidden secrets within games. My gaming journey began at a young age, captivated by titles like Resident Evil and Tomb Raider. Today, I enjoy exploring open-world RPGs and MMORPGs, consumed by their lore and crafting theories about their narratives. I'm also drawn to the suspenseful atmosphere of horror games and the intricate narratives of crime-themed titles, bringing a unique perspective to my writing. Beyond gaming, I have a fascination with anything unexplained and chilling, a passion that often spills over into my exploration of horror games. When I'm not engrossed in a virtual world, you can find me curled up and spending time with my adorable doggy sidekick, Teemo. As Managing Editor, I'm committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for our writing team. I communicate openly with my team members, addressing any content-related issues and providing guidance to help them excel.
