How to Get Serpent Scales
- Looking for the Sea Serpent on a Karve boat or a Longship is recommended. Dracar is more resilient to attack than Karves, which are small boats that can’t take much punishment.
- That is to say, the Dracar is the safest bet for tracking down the Sea Serpent in Valheim, as you will require extremely durable gear. Furthermore, you should have already spent some time on the Kraken’s surface collecting Abyssal Barnacles.
- The Kraken is not a hostile foe in Valheim, contrary to popular belief. Before the creature goes back to the depths of the sea, you should be able to get some Abyssal Barnacles. The Abyssal Harpoon can be built once you have enough Abyssal Barnacles.
- However, remember that in order to construct this weapon (as well as the Serpent Scale Shield), your Workbench must be level 4.
Take her to shore!
- You can effortlessly subdue the Sea Serpent with a bow and arrow, but the scales will drop at the ocean’s base. As a result, we recommend a strategy in which one player uses the Abyssal Harpoon to capture her while the other uses a bow and arrow to attack her. After that, drag the snake to the shore and gather the meat and scales it sheds.
- You can also opt to fight the snake on your own, but it is much more challenging. To accomplish this, use the Abyssal Harpoon to capture her and transport her to the shore, where she will be killed instantly.
