Valheim Troll Cave – Complete Guide

BY JC Paredes 5 years AGO 2 MIN READ

Newcomers who want to protect their equipment and assets may find the Valheim Troll Caves daunting. Thankfully, we have several tricks up our sleeves to guide you!

Troll Caves

Troll Caves are huge rock formations with a massive entrance gap in the center branded by piles of bones. They are similar to Burial Chambers in that they can be invaded by stepping inside and tapping “E”.

  • In most cave encounters, gamers should expect to confront two or three trolls. Whilst others linger inside, one is normally waiting around outside.
  • Those who depend on kiting trolls to bring them down should avoid this at all costs because you will have restricted maneuvering space.

Troll Caves have Items and Vaults scattered all over, each containing one or more of the following items:

Common Rewards Chest Rewards
  • Amber Pearls
  • Coins
  • Bone Fragments
  • Yellow Mushrooms
  • Ruby
  • Coins
  • Deer Hide
  • Wood
  • Stone
  • Bone Fragments
  • Leather Scraps

Location

  • Troll Caves can be discovered in even the most widely available biomes, such as the Black Forest.
  • Trolls pop up here frequently. If you don’t want to aggravate them, gamers should be cautious when getting near or doing noisy activities near them.
  • However, for bold Vikings looking to go troll hunting, wandering across a troll cave could be a godsend!

Survival is Key!

  • Because trolls are vulnerable to piercing damage, your top picks in combat are arrows and swords. Additionally, bring weapons with fire!
  • First, go after the trolls, then go after the loot.
  • Carry only the necessities. Not only would this increase what you can loot, but it would also reduce what you might risk losing.
  • Abandon the cave if you’re unsure. The trolls will not pursue you, giving you room to gather your thoughts and heal!

Since March 2021, I've worn two hats at Spiel Times: a writer and a Managing Editor. In my writing role, I've earned recognition from Wikipedia and Nev Schulman (Catfish TV Show host) for my insightful analysis and engaging narrative style. I'm passionate about all things gaming, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for uncovering hidden secrets within games. My gaming journey began at a young age, captivated by titles like Resident Evil and Tomb Raider. Today, I enjoy exploring open-world RPGs and MMORPGs, consumed by their lore and crafting theories about their narratives. I'm also drawn to the suspenseful atmosphere of horror games and the intricate narratives of crime-themed titles, bringing a unique perspective to my writing. Beyond gaming, I have a fascination with anything unexplained and chilling, a passion that often spills over into my exploration of horror games. When I'm not engrossed in a virtual world, you can find me curled up and spending time with my adorable doggy sidekick, Teemo. As Managing Editor, I'm committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for our writing team. I communicate openly with my team members, addressing any content-related issues and providing guidance to help them excel.
