Horizon Forbidden West On PS4 Plays “Stunning” According To Devs

Do you have any reservations about how Horizon Forbidden West would appear on PS4? The images were posted by Guerrilla Games via its official Twitter account. They illustrate the fantastic work that the studio has done with the PS4 version; the reality is that intergenerational games can show significant changes between their old and new generation editions.

The revelation that the game looks so good on what appears to be obsolete technology is no surprise. Guerrilla’s affiliation with PlayStation Studios is why the game is particularly for the PS4 and PS5.

PS4 Edition

Of course, there will be some obvious discrepancies between the PS5 and the PS4 edition, particularly in terms of ray tracing, exclusive effects for the new generation Sony device, and DualSense functionality, but it is still remarkable that the game will look even nicer than Horizon: Zero Dawn, which established itself as one of the finest technical marvels of PS4.

The screenshots reveal two extremely different biomes: on the one hand, a lush forest with perfect lighting effects for PS4, and on the other, an expansive desert where the Longnecks walk, which we assume will function as the “Ubisoft Towers” once more.

Forbidden West

  • Forbidden West will feature a plethora of major updates for its first chapter, and it recently gave us some additional gameplay focusing on the game’s playability, which appears to have improved in terms of depth and control.
  • This next part of the Horizon story, like the previous, will feature an essential adventure element to gather various resources and find secrets, as well as several special skills both within and outside of combat that will enable us to approach encounters in a variety of ways.
  • Horizon Forbidden West will be released for PS4 and PS5 on February 18th, and it is already available for pre-order through various retailers.

Since March 2021, I've worn two hats at Spiel Times: a writer and a Managing Editor. In my writing role, I've earned recognition from Wikipedia and Nev Schulman (Catfish TV Show host) for my insightful analysis and engaging narrative style. I'm passionate about all things gaming, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for uncovering hidden secrets within games. My gaming journey began at a young age, captivated by titles like Resident Evil and Tomb Raider. Today, I enjoy exploring open-world RPGs and MMORPGs, consumed by their lore and crafting theories about their narratives. I'm also drawn to the suspenseful atmosphere of horror games and the intricate narratives of crime-themed titles, bringing a unique perspective to my writing. Beyond gaming, I have a fascination with anything unexplained and chilling, a passion that often spills over into my exploration of horror games. When I'm not engrossed in a virtual world, you can find me curled up and spending time with my adorable doggy sidekick, Teemo. As Managing Editor, I'm committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for our writing team. I communicate openly with my team members, addressing any content-related issues and providing guidance to help them excel.
