What can we expect in the remake?
The game’s official trailer dropped last Friday, March 4th. Check out the trailer below and see if you can spot the differences from the original game:
Aside from the controls and graphics being significantly improved, there will also be changes to the overall gameplay. The developers announced that the game will feature new characters and also include multiple endings. This is a common trend among similar horror shoot-em-up games like Resident Evil.
But despite the fact that there are a handful of noticeable changes in the game, it doesn’t stray far from the original material. The gameplay mechanics are still the same: the game controls your movements and all you have to do is aim and shoot. Additionally, players have the choice to play either solo or with a friend.

On a side note, The House of the Dead: Remake is only available to play on the Nintendo Switch. However, it’s possible that the game will be released on other platforms after its initial launch.
The House of the Dead 2 will also get a remake.
The House of the Dead first released in arcades in 1996, followed by a sequel in 1998. Forever Entertainment first announced that remakes were in the works back in 2019 but as of now, the first game is the only one with a release date. There is no information yet from the developers about The House of the Dead 2. But it’s likely we’ll get more information after April 7th.
