Netflix’s XO, Kitty was a huge success after its premiere on the platform. Every Kdrama lover found the show mesmerizing and the fans just can’t get enough of the fan-favorite Kitty (Anna Cathcart). The latest “To All The Boys” spinoff brings in a new atmosphere – this time, in Korea with Korean heartthrobs. Season 1 definitely ended with a major cliffhanger. With that, will Netflix renew XO, Kitty for season 2?
The finale XO, Kitty season 1 left everyone hanging
Season 1’s ending left us all in awe! In the final scenes of Season 1 Episode 10, we got a heart-pounding twist that made all of us go nuts. It was indeed a wild experience for Kitty in Korea, especially in K.I.S.S. (Korean Independent School of Soul) where she found a lot of things about her deceased mother and even more about herself. The titular character discovered her newfound love for another girl, Yuri Han (Gia Kim), who also had a roller-coaster relationship with Kitty.
Just as Kitty was about to confess her feelings to Yuri, the latter reunited with her girlfriend Juliana (Regan Aliyah). Being brokenhearted and expelled from K.I.S.S., Kitty boarded the plane going to the U.S. to return to her family in Portland, Oregon. However, she would be accompanied by an unexpected friend – Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee). After some chitchat, Min Ho decided to confess his feelings to Kitty. Pretty wild right? Because of that, the show now has a “love rectangle”. Dae and Min Ho are both in love with Kitty while she is also in love with Yuri. However, Yuri still loves her girlfriend Juliana despite being apart for so long. We have so many questions, and hopefully, a second season can give us some answers! Moreover, Min Ho and Kitty gave us an unexpected chemistry between the two characters we never knew we needed!
Is XO, Kitty getting a season 2?
Unfortunately, as of this writing, Netflix hasn’t made any announcement on a season 2 yet. Thankfully, the series had an amazing run and was loved by many viewers. It did, however, receive mixed reviews for tackling sensitive issues. But, overall, we firmly believe Netflix will renew XO, Kitty for a second season. To support that, Netflix may announce the series’ renewal in a few months. The platform isn’t akin to telling its viewers right away if they are continuing or canceling a show right away. Plus, it took two years for XO, Kitty to premiere since the show’s announcement. By that, we could only hope we hear from the showrunners very soon. The author of To All The Boys books, Jenny Han, is a co-showrunner, so we are in good hands.

Of course, we would be seeing the infamous love rectangle and obviously, Kitty (Anna Cathcart) will run the show. Hopefully, fan-favorite characters like Yuri Han, Min Ho, and Quincy returns to the scene in season 2. With both Kitty and Min Ho flying to America, could it be that season 2 will take place outside of Korea this time?
