NMIXX’s pre-recording for K-909 caught fire and hit members with drones | Twitter Reacts

JTBC K-909 fire accident

NMIXX was pre-recording for JTBC’s music show K-909 when a fire accident occurred. Fortunately, there weren’t any injuries, and the recording was completed without further damage. The fans who attended the pre-recording started posting about the incident through social networking sites criticizing the management for not taking necessary safety measures.

One Korean netizen wrote that there was a fire on the stage, and the audience fainted as the area wasn’t evacuated. NIMIXX, who were pre-recording their Party O’Clock and Hey Mama cover stages for their upcoming comeback, also suffered through the fire. Two of the members, Lily and Kyujin, were hit by a drone more than once, and Kyujin’s hair got tangled in the incident.

JTBC releases statement about the fire incident

The program management of JTBC K-909 released an official statement to the Korean media agency No Cut News, stating that they helped the artists get off the stage as soon as the fire broke out. Following this, they extinguished, ventilated, and reorganized the filming site. They also asked the audience if anyone was required to leave the premise, but nobody made that request.

  • They then decided to resume the filming with the agreement of everyone present. JTBC also clarified that there weren’t any injuries to anyone. The management inquired if anyone was uncomfortable, and one of the audience raised their hand, so they advised them to go home. However, the audience member insisted on staying, so the production facilitated them to continue watching.
  • JTBC also clarified regarding Kyujin’s hair and the drone, adding that the drone slightly brushed past the artist’s hair. The production immediately halted the filming and verified the well-being of Kyujin, and since there weren’t any issues, they decided to complete the filming.
