The NBA Playoffs are fast approaching. As a result, the postseason as well as the fight for the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy will come very soon.

With NBA celebrating its 75th anniversary, the league will release a short film called “Playoffs on NBA Lane”. This will be part of the league’s season-long campaign for year 75. As announced, NBA will show the film on all social media platforms on March 30, 2022.

The film will take place in “NBA Lane”, a fictional neighborhood that commemorates the 75th anniversary of the league.

Playoffs on NBA Lane will follow a tremendous cast of NBA legends, fans, broadcasters, and celebrities. Basically, all of them will be part of an event where everyone descends upon NBA Lane in preparation for the 2022 NBA Playoffs.

“Throughout this season, our fans around the world have celebrated the NBA legends and moments that have shaped this league, and now we all turn to the next generation of stars who continue to push it forward as they write another chapter of NBA playoff history.”

Who will we see in the short film?

  • NBA Legends: Charles Barkley, Muggsy Bogues, Clyde Drexler, Reggie Miller, Shaquille O’Neal, David Robinson, and Chris Webber.
  • Current NBA Players: Steph Curry, DeMar DeRozan, Luka Doncic, Joel Embiid, Darius Garland, and Ja Morant
  • NBA Broadcasters: Malika Andrews, Marv Albert, Ernie Johnson, Stephen A. Smith, and Xavier Vaution.
  • Celebrities/Fans: Anthony Anderson, Tiffany Haddish, Spike Lee, Ludacris, Mark Phillips, Issa Rae, Breanna Stewart, Vince Staples, and Ben Stiller.

As neighborhood kids ride to the game in the “Hoop Bus,” NBA broadcasters from past, present, and around the world welcome fans to this special community where everyone gathers to watch another NBA postseason.
