Pokemon Go: Safari Zone, All You Need To Know

Pokemon Go’s Safari Zone events were supposed to take place in 2020, with three events having been scheduled to take place in Philadelphia, St. Louis, and Liverpool, England. However, they were postponed for an indefinite period due to COVID-19. But the wait is almost over, and the events have been rescheduled to October and November.

These events are still going to take place in the same locations as follows:

  • Liverpool: October 15-17 at Sefton Park
  • Philadelphia: October 29-31 at Fairmount Park
  • St. Louis: November 12-14 at Tower Grove Park.

The start and end times for St. Louis have been shifter to one hour earlier.

Pokemon Go developer Niantic has stated on their official blog that they are “working closely with local authorities to design safe event experiences, implementing precautions such as careful line management, social-distancing protocols, and mask requirements for all staff members.”

  • Fans will have the chance to attend in-person as well as remotely. Players with tickets will have to RSVP first to be able to attend the events. Players who had purchased a ticket last year and did not request a refund will be able to use the same tickets. Additional tickets are also going to be sold.
  • During the events, particular Pokemon will appear more frequently in the wild. Event-exclusive Field and Special Research Tasks will also be occurring. The duration of incense and lure modules will be increased during the events.
  • Incense will last for eight hours during the event, and lure modules will last four hours. Special 2 km Eggs will also be available during the event. It has been said that ticket holders of Safari Zone Philadelphia will be treated to a surprise if they take snapshots.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

To purchase a ticket, players will have to use their Pokemon Go app. In the app, players can access the Events option in Main Menu. The upcoming events will be listed there, and they simply have to purchase tickets accordingly.
