While we are still thinking about the PlayStation showcase, developers and their teams too have been excited about different aspects of the event. Hyung-Tae Kim, CEO of Shift Up, has given out PS5s to each of his 260 employees to celebrate!
Project Eve is Shift Up’s very first console release. Although the game might have been overshadowed by other bigger names during the event, it is not a game to miss! The action-adventure game was initially announced in 2019 for the PC, Xbox, and PS 4 platforms. And now, a PS5 console has been in the works and was just announced. Check out the trailer below.
PS5 Giveaway
Shift Up’s CEO was incredibly happy with their first console game being at the PlayStation showcase. Assuming that all the 260 employees received PS5 disc drive versions, CEO Kim would have had to spend about 130,000 USD! The generosity of the CEO is not as surprising as the fact that he was able to acquire 260 PS5s instantly.
However, since Shift Up is working on a game that may be a timed PS5 exclusive, it might not have been all that difficult for Kim to get his hands on that many numbers of PS5s. Kim also stated that he surprised his employees with the PS5 so that they would be able to play Project Eve when it releases.
Well he just had his game shown at a major PlayStation conference. Probably wouldn't be too hard to secure 260 units.
The CEO said that he chose PS5's as the surprise gift so that all employees can play the game when it comes out. https://t.co/eJcqrqHzpk pic.twitter.com/yuU8AP80q5

While the studio’s debut title does not have a release date yet, we should get more information soon. The game features the near future, where invading forces have forced mankind off Earth. The player takes up the role of Eve to reclaim Earth for the humans.
