Sony has revealed details regarding its PS4 sales bracket recently. According to them, they have sold 79 million PS4 units worldwide.
Out of the 79 million, 2.5 million were sold during the fourth quarter. Sony shipped some 19 million units throughout the fiscal year, ending on March 31, 2018, alone.
Statistical data suggests that the PS4 sales have seen a massive drop since last year. The contrast being, a sharp difference of approximately one million units. This indicates that the PS4 sales have significantly slacked quite a lot.
Sony is expecting to further the sales by a margin of 19 million by the end of March 31st, 2019.
If they manage to pull that off and propel the sales to a staggering 102 million units, Sony’s PS4 would indubitably oust the Wii.
Additionally, it would enter the list of the top four best-selling consoles list, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the original PlayStation which sold a total of 102.49 units.
