A well-known leaker, who typically publishes the titles of the video games added to the PS Plus catalog, has revealed the upcoming titles for January 2023.

UPDATE: Leak is now confirmed by Sony!

Billbilkun, a dedicated user at Deadlabs, routinely publishes information about upcoming PlayStation Plus releases in advance of their official announcement. Predicting next year’s lineup, the free PS Plus games for January 2023 (PS5 and PS4) were announced.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

  • With the highly anticipated Star Wars Jedi: Survivor coming soon (March 15 on PC and other platforms), it seems like a good time to give Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order as a way for people to learn about the first game in the series. A 3D Metroidvania-style game with souls-like gameplay.

Axiom Verge 2

  • Next, we have Axiom Verge 2. This game is a follow-up to one of the most critically praised indie Metroidvania of recent times, is another possibility. This game sees hand-to-hand combat. Essentially, replacing the use of guns and allows players to see the environment from both the analog and digital realms.
  • It’s a title for any gamer who loved Axiom Verge 1. With two games that are identical in spirit but vastly different in execution, we can confidently claim that we are up against a time-tested saga that may yet provide us with fresh delights.

Fallout 76

  • Lastly, Fallout 76 is not something that can be overlooked. Multiplayer role-playing game set in the story that, while initially plagued by issues, has been greatly improved over the past few years.
  • The studio behind it has done a lot of work to make sure all the issues have been fixed. They have also ironed out the kinks and added a ton of new stuff to the game.

PS Plus Games Available this December 2022

Biomutant

  • An action role-playing game is still available until January 2023. Don’t be too shocked when you see animals-like battling in an open-world design.
  • It is a single-player video game that is developed and published by Experiment 101, Experiment 101 AB, and THQ Nordic, respectively. You can play the game on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles. This game is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Divine Knockout: Founder’s Edition

  • Next, we have another action game here so you can smash your opponents in the arena! This third-person platform video game lets you freely choose your character, may it be Hercules or use Thor with its Mjolnir.
  • The Divine Knockout: Founder’s Edition unlocks the base game, bonus content for the game, and also a DKO-inspired skin in Smite.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition

  • If you’re quite familiar with the title, mayhaps you’re thinking right. The Mass Effect Trilogy comes back with the Legendary Edition. All three Mass Effect games are also remastered and brought to the PlayStation 4 for you to enjoy.
