Hey, Tarnished! Have you heard of the new weapons in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC – the Backhand Blades? These are dual-wielding, bleed-inducing, and seriously stylish. So, if you want to slice and dice your foes in style, listen up!

Why You Need These Blades:

  • Forget boring sword swings. These weapons offer a whole new way to dance around your enemies while dealing damage.
  • If you’re into bleed builds, these blades are your new best friends. They’ll have your foes gushing crimson in no time.
  • You can snag a pair of Backhand Blades pretty early in the DLC. No need to wait for the endgame to get your hands on these beauties.

Backhand Blades Locations

  • Scorched Ruins
    • Head north from the Site of Grace until you stumble upon a stone pavilion.
    • The Backhand Blades are resting near a sarcophagus inside.

  • Gravesite Plain (Curseblade Hunting):
    • You’ll encounter these creepy Curseblade enemies all over Gravesite Plain.
    • They have a chance to drop the Curseblade’s Cirque version of the Backhand Blades.
    • Hit up the tower near the Belurat Tower Settlement boss for some prime Curseblade farming action.

  • Ruined Forge of Starfall Past in Scadu Altus:
    • Venture north in Scadu Altus until you find the Ruined Forge.
    • Fight your way through the forge’s inhabitants.
    • Behind the second main door, you’ll find a corpse clutching the Smithscript’s Cirque Backhand Blades. Score!

Additional Tips:

The Three Path Cross location is a no-brainer for a quick and easy pickup. If you want the Curseblade variant, be prepared to slay a bunch of Curseblades. The Ruined Forge takes a bit more effort to reach, but the Smithscript’s Cirque blades are worth the trek.
