SISTAR19 launches new logo and TikTok account

The subunit hasn’t appeared on screens since their disbandment in 2017 but they are ready to woo their fans once again with a comeback in January 2024. The duo have recently released their new logo with classic and retro feel but their TikTok account has become the talk of the town.
Instead of naming the account after the subunit they have named it SISTAR. The account is also following their former member Soyou, which is more than enough for fans to ignite flames of hope for a complete group comeback.
Disbandment
The group disbanded at the peak of their career in 2017 leaving behind seven years of impressive releases and performances to focus on their solo projects. They released their farewell song Lonely in June 2017 and performed a medley of their hits including Touch My Body at Inkigayo.

The quartet consisted of Hyolyn, Bora, Soyou, and Dasom and were popularly termed the queen of summer due to their fresh, upbeat, and cheerful discography. Their disbandment greatly shocked their fans and left them heartbroken.
Following this Hyolyn continued to pursue her solo endeavors under the self-management agency Bridʒ. Bora continued to appear on variety shows and K-dramas including Dr Romantic 2 and Late Night Café 2. Soyou also continued her solo career under Starship Entertainment before shifting to BPM Entertainment in 2022.
Meanwhile, Dasom continued her acting and singing career by featuring in K-drama He Is Psychometric and Ms. Kim’s Mystery. She also collaborated with Hyolyn for the 2021 project How To Spend 2021 Well to donate profits to the socioeconomic class during the height of the Pandemic.
Possible Reunion
Even after disbandment, SISTAR’s members have continued to collaborate and show support to each other. They have also created an individual fandom by pursuing their solo projects and continuing to work passionately in the entertainment field.
