Sony Insider Confirms New Sly Cooper Game
Sony appears to be working on resurrecting several of its long-forgotten franchises. Sources claim that Twisted Metal could be released as a free-to-play title by 2023. Additionally, a Wipeout game for PS5 could be suitable for the new VR headset. A potential new Sly Cooper game, the 3D platformer saga designed by Sucker Punch in 2002, has also been mentioned; a development that an insider allegedly confirms.
Twitter user Shpeshal Nick, a well-known industry insider and co-founder of Xbox Era, has posted a tweet on his personal account confirming the arrival of a new Sly Cooper game.
Hey Sly fans. I guess some good news? My “normal” Sony source (was originally told by a newer source) just confirmed to me that Sly is indeed coming back. That’s it. That’s all. Just an update since many of you still DM me to this day.

The news is that a Sony source has acknowledged that a new game is in the works, though no further details have been released about the project.

Nick said that he doesn’t know if it’ll be a remake of the originals, a reboot of the franchise, or an entirely new installment, for example.
“For whatever it’s worth to anyone, I’ve heard something similar. I didn’t hear Sucker Punch were doing it, I just heard “someone” was making Sly 5. I guess Sucker Punch would make the most sense. But I keep being told not them.”
