Sony PlayStation (PS5) “Investing” in High Quality Games, More Exclusives In The Future
Regardless of the fact that Sony Interactive Entertainment has just unveiled some of the upcoming PlayStation 5 ventures, the future of the console has yet to be fully revealed.
Jim Ryan, PlayStation’s CEO, revealed some of the Japanese company’s plans in an interview with Nikkei. It was stated that they are investing in new PS5 exclusives while not dismissing the idea of obtaining studios in the future.

“We’ve been quietly, but steadily, investing in high-quality PlayStation games. We will make sure that the PS5 generation has more exclusive video games than the previous ones. We have done mergers and acquisitions at other times in the past, such as with Insomniac Games. We will not rule out that option in the future. ” Ryan says.
According to him, the company has “repeatedly” been actively engaged in numerous joint ventures. This includes the acquisition of Insomniac Games in the US.
Without a doubt, it opens the door for more studios such as Naughty Dog, Insomniac, or Guerrilla Games, to join PlayStation Studios. He’s also optimistic about the future, predicting a long PS5 life cycle.
Upcoming PS5 Game Releases

Meanwhile, Demon’s Souls Remake was PlayStation 5’s huge exclusive, and Returnal will be released on April 30. Ratchet & Clank: A Dimension Apart will be released in June 2021, a few months later.
New Generation Console
Both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X / S have experienced manufacturing issues since the Covid outbreak. The two organizations are still attempting to expand the movement of new consoles into stores. But it is unlikely until the second period of 2021.
