STALKER 2: Delayed (Again), December 2022 Release Date

BY JC Paredes 4 years AGO 2 MIN READ

Due to different difficulties such as its disagreement with NFTs or rumors that the sequel to one of the most beloved cult works by PC players will be delayed until the following fall, STALKER 2 has taken over the news of video game information in recent weeks.

This speculation has proven to be accurate, as the game’s producers, GSC Game World, officially stated just recently that STALKER 2 will be postponed until December 8, approximately 7 months after its original release date, which was set for April 28.

“These additional seven months of development are needed to fulfill our vision and achieve the desired state of the game.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is the biggest project in the history of GSC, and it requires thorough testing and polishing.
We are convinced that development should take as long as necessary, especially in the case of such a project. This decision is not an easy one, but we are doing the best possible to deliver you a game that can live up to the expectations.”

STALKER 2

  • The survival mechanisms (which were not as widespread at the time as they are now) and the weather oddities produced by the nuclear disaster were two of the aspects that won over fans of the first STALKER.
  • Both traits will be present in STALKER 2, and hunger, for instance, can impact our capabilities, while not sleeping causes our vision to deteriorate noticeably.
  • On December 8th, 2022, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl will be released for Xbox Series X/S and Windows PC. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.

Since March 2021, I've worn two hats at Spiel Times: a writer and a Managing Editor. In my writing role, I've earned recognition from Wikipedia and Nev Schulman (Catfish TV Show host) for my insightful analysis and engaging narrative style. I'm passionate about all things gaming, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for uncovering hidden secrets within games. My gaming journey began at a young age, captivated by titles like Resident Evil and Tomb Raider. Today, I enjoy exploring open-world RPGs and MMORPGs, consumed by their lore and crafting theories about their narratives. I'm also drawn to the suspenseful atmosphere of horror games and the intricate narratives of crime-themed titles, bringing a unique perspective to my writing. Beyond gaming, I have a fascination with anything unexplained and chilling, a passion that often spills over into my exploration of horror games. When I'm not engrossed in a virtual world, you can find me curled up and spending time with my adorable doggy sidekick, Teemo. As Managing Editor, I'm committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for our writing team. I communicate openly with my team members, addressing any content-related issues and providing guidance to help them excel.
