Star Wars Eclipse In Development – Rumor Mill

Fans of Star Wars, there is some exciting news for you. A new rumor has begun that a new Star Wars game is currently under development. While there are already a number of games from the Star Wars series, a new game and new content that comes along with it is still exciting.

The rumor is that Quantic Dream, the developer behind Detroit: Become Human and Heavy Rain, is also the studio that has undertaken this project. The information was shared by Jeff Grub, industry insider and Venture Beat reporter, during a Giant Bomb podcast. Not many details were shared. However, there have been mentions of a new Star Wars game for a few months now.

We now know that the game will take place in the High Republic era; this lasts for 200 years in which the Galactic Republic is at the height of its power. The expansion and exploration n the Outer Rim Territories are known to take place in this period of time, and it is also a golden age for the Jedi.

• Previous rumors had mentioned that Quantic Dream was working on an open-world Star Wars game, while a separate rumor mentioned that a High Republic game was in development as well. The information from Jeff Grub seems to be a convergence of these two, and it does make sense.
• While it is very exciting to think of a Star Wars open-world game being developed by a big studio such as Quantic Dream, all the information as of now is still speculation, and things might change, or turn out to be something else altogether. Therefore, it is recommended that this information be taken with caution.
