Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, Early Access

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Team Ninja-Koei Tecmo and released by Square Enix to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series.

The tale follows a group of people who are transported to a mythical world to battle the demonic Chaos in an alternate universe retelling of Square Enix’s original Final Fantasy for the NES. The game will be available for Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on March 18, 2022.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is a dark fantasy adaptation of the original Final Fantasy game’s setting, featuring a group of characters brought in from another realm. The protagonist is Jack Garland, a man motivated by a desire to extinguish Chaos. Chaos here refers to the first Final Fantasy game, in which the horned Chaos served as the game’s final boss and the main villain.

Other companions accompany Jack, including rookies Ash and Jed. They meet a knight who has assumed the role of Chaos along the way, and while they appear to be the prophesied Warriors of Light, everyone has uncertainties about their duty.

Stranger of Paradise is an action role-playing game in which players explore Final Fantasy landscapes and battle monsters. Combat is real-time, and Jack can move between two designated tasks and use both physical and magical strikes. When an enemy’s “break gauge” is empty, Jack can use a finishing blow to crystallize them, allowing him to harvest them and replenish his magic meter.

Early Access on Different Platforms

PC

PC gamers do not have access to the same early access benefits as Xbox and PlayStation gamers. They will also get early access to Stranger of Paradise if they pre-order any digital copy of the game. However, it will only be for 24 hours, beginning March 17 at midnight local time. PC gamers will have to wait a little longer for Stranger of Paradise due to a 24-hour early access period.

CONSOLE

Anyone who pre-orders Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin on PlayStation or Xbox will get three days of early access to the game. This will begin at midnight local time on the 15th of this month. Early access will be granted to those who pre-order the game on Xbox or PlayStation. In addition, console fans can start playing Stranger of Paradise right immediately. This is thanks to a new demo published shortly after the PlayStation State of Play in March.
