Guys, have you ever wondered if a game that is launched in September 2020 can win the Game of year award at the end of 2020? Most of you will say no it’s quite hard. But surprisingly, it had happened. Genshin Impact, which has gained a lot of popularity within a few months, has done this. It has become the third highest-earning game globally at the moment.
The game features an anime-style open-world environment and an action-based battle system using elemental magic and character-switching. The game is free-to-play and is monetized through gacha game mechanics where players can obtain new characters, weapons, and other resources.
Launch Date
- Genshin Impact is an open-world action role-playing game, the game is developed and published by miHoYo, a Chinese game development studio. It was released globally on 28th September 2020 for PC, mobile, and PlayStation 4 and later for PlayStation 5 on 28th April 2021.
- However, Nintendo Switch owners are quite unhappy due to the non-availability of the game on Switch. But they have to hold their patience as the game is scheduled to release on the Switch in the future.
- The game proved to be an interesting one to play during the pandemic. The developer kept their hard work on by launching new events, updates to the game every few weeks. This keeps the players engaged without losing their interest.
