Who is Eden Levi? A Young Hero at 19 in the Gaza War

In the ongoing conflict with Palestinian terrorists since October 7, 2023, Eden Levi, a 19-year-old commander in the Home Front Command from Nirit, became one of the unsung heroes among the 368 soldiers, officers, and reservists who tragically lost their lives. The war, primarily centered on the Gaza border, resulted in at least 48 casualties during a ground offensive in the Hamas-run territory.

A Young Defender’s Courage

Eden, with her youthful appearance, embodied the resilience and bravery of Israel’s young soldiers. On that fateful October 7th morning, Eden and her comrades faced a Hamas terrorist invasion, turning what was supposed to be a day of Sabbath celebration into a battleground for survival.

The Heroic Defense

Despite her young age, Eden led her team bravely in repelling the attackers. Her base, the only one near the Gaza border not taken over by terrorists that day, witnessed her heroic defense against 10 militants armed with RPGs, grenades, and automatic weapons. In her courageous efforts, Eden sacrificed her own life to save her entire base, earning her the title of a true hero.
