Wild Rift had a triumphant competitive debut last month in Singapore with the Wild Rift’s Horizon Cup. The event champions were the Da Kun Gaming, a Chinese team. Team Secret, an all-Filipino team then, finishing third or fourth.
Wild Rift Cup in Japan, Wild Rift League in China, Wild Rift Champions in Korea, Wild North America Series in NA, Wild Tour in Brazil, Wild Rift Championship EMEA in Europe, Middle East-North Africa, and CIS regions, Wild Rift Latin America Open in LA region, and Wild Rift Champions SEA in Southeast Asia and Oceania region were revealed during the Riot Games live stream on Friday, January 7.
SEA Championship Tournament 2022

The Wild Rift Icons Global Championship, the tournament’s crowning achievement, will be in Europe. The target date will be in the summer between June and September. The competition will feature 24 teams from throughout the world. This will be eight spots for the strongest teams from regional leagues. The remaining 16 spots will be via a play-in stage.
- In the Southeast Asia Championship 2021, Team Secret finished second to SBTC Esports. This earns them a spot in the Horizon Cup. Unlike Fennel Adversity, which was quick to exit the competition.
- After winning the Philippine Pro-Gaming 2021 Fall, which included fellow Filipino Wild Rift teams Omega Esports, Bren Esports, RRQ, DR Esports, and Lakan Esports, the two Filipino teams who will be the country’s representatives.
- The 8 regional leagues that will serve as the cornerstones of Wild Rift Esports’ first official season in 2022 are to commence on January 22nd, 2022.
