We finally have a first look into the anticipated Yakuza 8. All thanks to the video posted by the Japanese MMA Fighter, Mikuru Asakura. He posted the video yesterday on his YouTube channel which already has 1.2 million views in less than 24 hours.
In the video, Asakura got an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. He was able to meet Sega president Haruki Satomi and RGG Studio director Masayoshi Yokoyama was the one who led the tour.
Moreover, the 17-minute video got us a glimpse of what’s to come in Yakuza 8. Read more to find out!
Yakuza 8 is set to feature Mikuru Asakura
From the start of the tour, Asakura met Satomi and Yokoma. While talking, Asakura got a surprising offer to appear in the game which he then accepted. So we are going to see Asakura in character for the Yakuza 8.

A new game is in the works
They are currently working on a new game title as mentioned. But they did not give further details about it. So we are yet to find out about it soon.
Take a look at the leaked preview of Yakuza 8
While they were having the tour, they were able to catch an employee who is currently working in the game. The monitor showed a certain scene from the game but what’s shocking to see is the new look of Ichiban Kasuga.
Kasuga’s hair looks like it was tied at the back which could mean goodbye to his iconic afro look.

Moreover, other characters who have also appeared in the same scene are Yu Nanba and Koichi Adachi. The scene that they are in looks like an apartment.
The game setting is revealed to be in a new town, a few years later. It’s going to be a continuation of the Like a Dragon’s story. So expect the game to be still an RPG.
Its franchise creator Toshihiro Nagoshi is not involved with this new game for the first time after leaving Sega.
