What is Rent a Girlfriend about?
After dating for a month, Mami Nanami dumps Kazuya Kinoshita. In response, he decides to use an online dating app to hire a beautiful girl named Chizuru Mizuhara.
However, Kazuya rates Chizuru poorly because he believes she is insincere. Chizuru confronts him about it during their next meeting, which reveals her to be more ill-tempered than Kazuya had anticipated.
At this point, Kazuya receives news that his grandmother has been hospitalized. Chizuru accompanies him, and his grandmother takes a liking to her. To keep up appearances with his family and friends, Kazuya continues renting Chizuru’s services.
However, things become complicated when they discover that they are next-door apartment neighbors and attend the same college. As the series progresses, other girls from the rental girlfriend business join in, further complicating Kazuya’s life.
