PC players have a new graphics driver to install as several major releases arrive this week. NVIDIA’s latest GeForce Game Ready Driver improves performance for new titles, supports advances in game development, and fixes several issues reported by players.

The WHQL-certified release replaces last week’s beta update with additional optimisations and stability improvements. With several of this year’s top upcoming video game releases drawing closer, the update also expands support for NVIDIA’s latest AI-powered graphics technologies.

Launch support for major games

The new GeForce Game Ready Driver 610.88 WHQL delivers launch-day optimisations for Halo: Campaign Evolved, Mistfall Hunter, and the upcoming Gears of War: E-Day Multiplayer Open Beta. Players can download the driver now through the NVIDIA app or NVIDIA’s official website.

Halo: Campaign Evolved officially launched after entering early access on July 23. The remake rebuilds the original Halo: Combat Evolved campaign with upgraded visuals, enhanced cinematics and refined gameplay. Beyond the graphical overhaul, it adds three new campaign missions, more weapons and vehicles, new enemy types and an expanded selection of Skulls.

Four-player online co-op includes cross-platform progression between PC and console. RTX users can enable DLSS Super Resolution, Frame Generation and NVIDIA Reflex, while the NVIDIA app unlocks additional DLSS 4.5 features. The remake joins this week’s latest game releases, highlighting the growing role of AI-assisted rendering in modern gaming.

Gears and more DLSS titles

The next major title supported by the driver is Gears of War: E-Day, whose multiplayer beta begins on August 6 for players who pre-order the game or subscribe to PC Game Pass. Set 14 years before the original game, the prequel follows Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago during Emergence Day.

Built with Unreal Engine 5 and DirectX 12, it uses Lumen, Nanite and MegaLights to enhance lighting, environmental detail and destruction. The beta supports DLSS Super Resolution and NVIDIA Reflex, while the full release on October 6 will add the complete DLSS 4.5 suite, making it one of this year’s top upcoming video game releases.

Mistfall Hunter also launches with support for DLSS Super Resolution, Multi Frame Generation, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, ray-traced reflections, ray-traced shadows and NVIDIA Reflex. Bellring Games’ fantasy extraction RPG features six playable classes and joins the growing list of the latest game releases adopting NVIDIA’s newest technologies.

The driver also adds launch-day support for Corsair Cove, which arrives on July 31 with DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution, Frame Generation, NVIDIA DLAA, and up to 6x Dynamic Multi Frame Generation through the NVIDIA app.

Bug fixes and bonuses

Performance improvements are only part of the update, reflecting the latest gaming industry innovations through expanded AI features and bug fixes. NVIDIA resolved crashes affecting Halo: Campaign Evolved on GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards and fixed intermittent long pauses in Path of Exile 2 after extended DirectX 12 gameplay sessions. Stability has also been improved in Silent Hill F, while Strange Brigade and Zombie Army 4: Dead War no longer crash when exiting if the NVIDIA App In-Game Overlay is enabled.

Several desktop issues have been addressed as well. RTX Dynamic Vibrance no longer applies incorrectly to Wallpaper Engine, Paint.NET no longer crashes when NVIDIA Surround is enabled, and frame pacing has been improved in certain DirectX 11 games using Smooth Motion together with G-SYNC.

Beyond the technical updates, NVIDIA is also offering eligible GeForce users a free three-month Discord Nitro subscription through GeForce Rewards while supplies last. The company is also running its GeForce Summer Nights promotion, giving participants the chance to win CONTROL Resonant game codes and a custom GeForce RTX Founders Edition graphics card.
