Diablo 4 Season of the Loot Reborn has introduced many changes in the Helltide events, Codex of Power, and the Affixes as well. Among these changes, the Artificer’s Pit is a new endgame challenge introduced in Season 4 that provides an endless dungeon experience.
Once you enter into the Pit, you will face enemies whose difficulty increases over time as you go from one level to another. However, you will be immediately ejected out of the Pit the moment you die. So it becomes important to strategize your moves in order to maximize your rewards.
Where to find the Artificer’s Pit in Diablo 4
The Artificer’s Pit is only accessible using the Rune Shards you get from completing the high-tier Nightmare Dungeons. You can also get the Shards by participating in other endgame activities such as defeating the World Bosses or completing the Legion Events.
Entering into the Pit requires 3 Ruin Shards, however, you can share the cost by participating in groups. Head to the Artificer’s Obelisk located in Cerrigar which is the gateway to the Pit. Submit the Shards in the Obeslisk to gain entry to this challenge.
How does the Artificer’s Pit work
When you enter the Pit, a fifteen minute timer will start under which you have to defeat all the enemies and a final boss. The faster you complete the level, the more rewards you can unlock. If you manage to slay the boss and all the enemies having more than six minutes in your hand, you can further unlock two additional levels.
As you defeat all the enemies, a portal will open that leads you to the main boss of that level. Strategize your attacks to defeat the boss in as little time as possible to unlock the next level as well as additional rewards.
