4A Games Is Working On An Unannounced AAA-Project With THQ Nordic
THQ Nordic has signed a new development agreement with Metro series developer 4A Games for an upcoming, undisclosed AAA-project.
With Metro Exodus performing exceptionally well, THQ Nordic is teaming up with 4A Games once again for a big-budget project. As mentioned on their fiscal year 2018-19 extended reports, the former has invested SEK 305.2 million, i.e., $31M USD, in their “growing development pipeline that will be driving the Group’s growth and profitability in the coming years.”
Reported under the Capital Expenditure, Depreciation and Amortisation section, THQ Nordic stated that at the by the end of the quarter(Jan 1-March 31), they had ongoing development projects of SEK 1,114.7M, i.e., $115M USD. The group has IP-rights of SEK 1,056.5M, i.e., $109M USD.
By the end of the quarter, THQ Nordic, Deep Silver and Coffee Stain had 80 games in development, of which 48 titles are currently unannounced.
