‘As the population increases, players might hit a queue’: Destiny 2 Team responds to critical server issues
Destiny 2: The Final Shape was made live yesterday and the game’s servers weren’t ready for the chaos. Due to a heavy influx of players logging in for the mega expansion, the game experienced server crashes and “Kick to Orbit” errors. Here’s how the Destiny 2 Team responded to the issue.
“Last night, we solved several critical issues causing poor stability and heavily reduced the amount of “Kick to Orbit” errors as you can see in this graph”, Destiny 2 Team shared on Twitter.
They further added that they’re monitoring the player population and will increase server capacity to accomodate everyone. “As the population increases, players may hit a queue, but our goal is to get everyone in as swiftly as possible,” the team wrote.
The team has been working day and night to fix these recurring issues. They’ve been reporting on fixes and server updates consistently to ensure a smooth experience for players across the globe.
Have you tried The Final Shape yet? Have you faced any errors so far?
