Ash Of War: No Skill, How To Get (Elden Ring)

Elden Ring’s ‘No Skill’ is one of the Ashes of War. You can equip Ashes of War on Weapons and Shields to modify abilities or an item’s scaling values. It is also used to apply affinities to change scaling values.

This Ash of War grants no affinity to armament and replaces any skill present with the following:

“No skill: This armament has no skill. If the armament on the other hand has a skill, that skill will be used instead.”
(Usable on shields and torches)

Ashes of War are items that allow you to alter your weapons’ abilities. For example, the Parry ability is generally instilled on Shields, but ‘No Skill’ can be infused on the Shield to replace it.

Because it nullifies the ability of the armament it is in on, No Skill is one of the most valuable Ashes of War.

You will use your main weapon’s ability instead of your Shield’s usual Parry if you have a Shield equipped with the No Skill. This is a particularly potent Ash of War because it allows players to maintain their shield equipped while still using their custom weapon abilities.

If you have two weapons in each hand, the No Skill ability on the left-handed weapon defaults to the right-handed weapon and vice versa.

How To Get

Knight Bernahl, an NPC merchant in Limgrave who offers Ashes of War, sells No Skill. Head northwest from the Gatefront Site of Lost Grace, which is directly before Stormveil Castle. After passing through a few small hordes of army NPCs, you should arrive at a woodland area.

Start seeking the Guidance of Grace in the air as you arrive in this woodland region. Look for a hut with vivid red flowers that is from afar if you can’t see the light rays. Knight Bernahl is within the Warmaster’s Shack. This costs 600 Runes, and there are plenty of other possibilities if you wish to customize the Ash of War on your primary weapon.
