After making sure that your system satisfies the minimum, or the recommended requirements for the game, additional changes in the settings can help enhance the gaming experience.
In the Graphics tab of the Settings menu, the following settings can be put in place:
- Post Processing Quality: Low
- Texture Quality: Medium
- Effects Quality: Medium
- Shadow Quality: Medium
- Foliage Quality: Medium
- Upscaling: DLSS (Nvidia) / FSR (AMD)
- Anti-Aliasing: TAA
- Sharpening: On
- Motion Blur: On
- Chromatic Aberration: Off
- Adaptive FX Quality: Off
- VSync: Optional
- Limit FPS: Yes
The setting with the most impact is said to be the Post Processing Quality, which can boost the frame rate by 23% when at a low setting. Shadow Quality on low can lead to an 8% boost in frame rate, but Shadow Quality can be a deal-breaker. Back 4 Blood has a play on the lights and shadows, and it might be a good idea to turn it up for enhanced visuals, but it can be demanding to do so.
While turning off anti-aliasing can slightly improve performance, its rewards are lower than sacrificing the picture quality.
Prior to tweaking the settings, it is recommended that players check out the presets, which will automatically alter certain settings, and see how the game performs on their systems. In addition to the presets, the recommended settings can be altered to enhance the performance.
