Best Buy Drop: Halo Infinite Xbox Series X (Limited Edition), November 15

The limited-edition Halo Xbox Series X commemorates the impending launch of Halo Infinite, as well as the franchise’s 20th anniversary. Set to officially release on November 15, Best Buy pre-orders will begin soon according to reports.

Many fans consider the stunning console a must-have, but, as with the classic next-gen console drops, scalpers rush to get their hands on stock as soon as it is announced. Fortunately for gamers, Best Buy has a massive Halo Xbox on stock, according to GamingINTEL.

Initial pre-orders for the device have sold out immediately every time they went live, with many believed to have been purchased by console resellers. This means that those who missed their chance to purchase one will have to buy them from 3rd parties, which will almost certainly come with a steep price tag. So this is a chance to avoid the scalpers and get the console at a reasonable price.

Confirmed with my own eyes, a single Best Buy store has over 80 Halo Edition Xbox Series X just sitting in the back. If all stores even have half that on average this launch will be huge.

Halo Xbox Series X

• The inspiration for the Xbox Series X is the Halo’s world, with dim metallic paneling and iridium gold outlines, harking back to past installments in the series.
• The device also has a star pattern, similar to the one in Zeta Halo, and Cortana. The Elite Series 2 controller also fits the theme, with a 20-year mark on the rear and an equivalent styling.

Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite is undoubtedly among the year’s most anticipated games. Developer 343 Industries is planning to introduce a post-launch feature to the game. The new installment will not include fan-favorite modes like Forge. However, the developer has pledged that Forge and other modes will be added in the future. Ray-tracing and campaign co-op are also on the way, but neither will be ready for Halo Infinite’s official launch.
