Reaching Town Hall 14 is a milestone for Clash of Clan players as you can unlock the pet house at this point. The pets can accompany your Heroes showcasing their unique abilities in battles. Apart from this lots of new traps and walls will be unlocked as well.
At this moment, rearranging the layout of your base will become crucial for both offense and defense. With the following base layouts you can dominate in all modes whether it is a clan war or protecting the resources in your base or keeping your trophy count safe.
5 best TH14 base layouts in Clash of Clans
1. Ring Style base
This is a ring style base and is ideal for clan war leagues. In these scenarios, attackers try to break the Town Hall first along with doing some additional damage to make it a 2-star win.
However, the gaps in the walls make it difficult for players to reach the core of the base where the Town Hall is placed. Moreover, when ground troops are forced to go through these gaps, they land on splash damage traps like giant bombs as well as skeleton traps.
Landing in these areas will cause a decrease in the strength of your army leading to a failed attack. The only weakness of this layout is when the ring is broken, thereby letting enemy troops to easily enter the core and destroy the base.
2. Diamond Hybrid base
This base is ideal for those who have not yet maxed out all their buildings and guard their trophies from the attackers. All your valuable resources are heavily guarded using splash damage traps and defensive buildings.
Players will face great difficulty in completely destroying your base due to the strategic placement of the defenses. The Town Hall is surrounded by Air Defenses and Archer Towers as well as X-bows that focus on both ground and air troops.
This strategy can quickly minimize the damage caused by an all-out air attack such as using Electro dragons or a BoLaLoon attack. The Inferno towers in the inner layer will prevent any troops from breaching the core.
3. Box Style War Base
This layout has box-like partitions separating various sections of the base. With the Town Hall at one end, the Eagle Artillery in the middle and at the other end, you will notice all the Heroes grouped together and surrounded by traps on all sides.
The side where all the Heroes are present makes it look appealing to start deploying all your troops from that end. However, this will cost you a lot and ultimately fail in making any stars from the attack.
Additionally, starting from the side where the Town Hall is placed will cause a problem due to the Giga Inferno tower and X-bows on either side of the Town Hall. Apart from that the other two sides offer a pretty good defense as well, making this layout an anti-2-star base.
4. Strong Core Trophy base
This base layout has layers of defensive walls along with a strong core of concentrated defensive buildings in the middle.
The Town Hall and Clan Castle are placed in the middle and surrounded by traps, and defensive buildings including Scattershot, X-Bows, Inferno towers, Bomb towers and Archer Towers. The outer layer has Cannons, Mortars, and Air defenses that prevent troops from entering deep inside.
Additionally, some holes are kept in the walls to make troops tunnel through them and scatter once they are inside causing a heavy decrease in the power of a full-fledged attack.
5. Zig-zag Style hybrid base
This zig-zag style of the walls messes with the attacker’s mind and they keep on guessing where to begin the attack from. There are various places where there are gaps between the walls that force the ground troops to enter through them and land in highly guarded zones.
The resources are well guarded by strong defenses like the Inferno tower, X-bows, and Scattershots. This makes it difficult for the attackers to quickly loot them and prevents a 2-star attack scenario.
This layout will also help protect the trophies since it is quiet to funnel through the walls and reach the core. The layers of defenses may even stop the attacker’s troops in the first layer if the strategy isn’t strong enough.
