Call of Duty: Warzone – Will the Verdansk Map Return?

BY JC Paredes 4 years AGO 3 MIN READ

Speculation about the comeback of Verdansk to Call of Duty: Warzone has been spreading recently. There were both positive and negative reviews of the first-ever map for the game. Several beloved maps returned to the game, but the overall layout remains the same.

The makers of Vanguard opted to exclude Verdansk from the map. It’s been replaced with Caldera, a WWII tropical battlefield. It also appears that people preferred Verdansk over Caldera, which reflects why Rebirth Island is presently more popular. To put it simply, countless fans hope that Verdansk will be available once again. Modern Warfare II is set to debut in late 2022, and a battle royale 2.0 edition has been announced for debut around the same time.

A throwback to its beginnings would be nice.

However, the developers have openly stated that bringing Verdansk back would be prohibitively large, resulting in a drop in player numbers. That being said, in 2022, there were several hints and indications that we would be heading back to Verdansk soon. One of Warzone 2’s developers recently hinted that Verdansk may be a feature of the game.

Verdansk will be returning to certain platforms next year

A future release on “certain platforms,” according to Activision programmer Alex Summers, is planned for Verdansk. Because Warzone is only available on consoles and PC, players aren’t sure what to think of this statement. If this is the case, Activision may be working on a mobile version of Warzone for launch later.

Warzone Mobile might add Verdansk, while PC and consoles might receive a Caldera update or another new map altogether. But Summers might be hinting at the return of Verdansk in Warzone 2.0, instead. We have no idea what the future holds for Verdansk at this stage. With time, we hope to learn more about how Warzone will evolve and whether Verdansk will rejoin the mix.

Bringing back verdansk would not cause player loss at all what is going to cause player loss is caldera the most hated map I think that verdansk should be brought back I know self and all my gamer friends miss the map and been on the fence of just deleting cod all together. There’s got to be a way to make it to where you have the option to play verdansk map that’s the map that my team and my self would stay on. As far as rebirth I love the map but no one is playing caldera cause it’s terrible so you have a lot of try hards and sweats which makes it almost impossible to play on such a small map. I vote to bring back verdansk 100%.
