CDPR is being “coy” about bringing Cyberpunk 2077 to PS5

Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is a confirmed deal for the Xbox Series X, thanks to Microsoft’s partnership with CD Projekt Red. We also heard the game will make its way to the PS5. But a recent report hints at some complications.

The recent issue of PlayStation Official Magazine UK has something to say regarding Cyberpunk 2077 coming to the PS5. In their “Rumor Control” corner, the magazine writes –

“Though it’s confirmed for the ‘other’ console, CD Projekt Red is being coy about bringing Cyberpunk 2077 to PS5, though we’d bet one of our spare augmented right arms it’ll end up on Sony’s new console.”

From earlier reports, we know Cyberpunk 2077 won’t be a launch game for the PS5. And in the latest list of games confirmed for the console, Cyberpunk 2077 is nowhere to be seen. So, it’s still tricky to answer whether or not Cyberpunk 2077 will make its way to the PS5.

While Xbox Series X players will get to experience a “full-blown next-gen version” of the game, PS5 players are still in the dark.

That shouldn’t be a big issue since the game will arrive on the PS4 on September 17 anyway. And that’s where most of us will explore and end the journey anyway.

We expect a response from CD Projekt Red soon. As soon as there’s some clarification, we’ll inform you through our push-notifications.
