Why are Chase Bank branches closing?
Over a dozen branches will be closing in the US when December 2023 hits. Following the closure of over 150 branches, Chase Bank plans to shut down more by the following year, 2024.

- It’s true that online equates to efficiency; however, physical banking still has a broader variety of services than the former. While it could be a good decision to close some units, it’s also unfortunate that the workforce would be affected, and people who are used to the traditional will be pushed to know how online banking works.
It isn’t only JPMorgan Chase doing it, other banks like Bank of America and Citi Bank have also been cutting down on their physical stores. These closures are expected to continue until 2024.
